Salvador Dali Fake Prints - Fine Art Registry® Investigation

FAR® Investigates Long History of Suspected Fake Dali Prints from Torino-based Albaretto Family

As a result of many Fine Art Registry® members coming to us with questions about the authenticity and value of prints attributed to Salvador Dali which they have purchased, many of them at so-called auctions aboard cruise ships, we have decided to investigate the origins of these prints. A large majority of them include in their provenance mention of the Alabaretto family of Torino, Italy.

Alabaretto Family: Dr. Giuseppe Albaretto, his wife Mara and their daughter Crisitiana have been involved for at least 8 years in various investigations as to the authenticity of works they have sold, which include those published by a company with which Giuseppe Albaretto was affiliated, Les Heures Claires, to produce prints of Dalí works. This family has been the subject of investigation by the German police and also was requested in 2001 by the Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation to agree to have all of their works authenticated by a Commission appointed by the Foundation and to "withdraw and destroy" all works found by this Commission to be fakes.   Learn More
